Essex 11 Plus Hub ("we", "us", "our") operates the website essex11plushub.co.uk and provides digital practice papers and writing assessment services for children preparing for the FSCE and CSSE grammar school entrance tests. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect the following information depending on how you use our services:
- At checkout (all purchases): your name and email address, processed by Stripe on our behalf. We do not see or store your card details.
- PDF password protection: we use the email address you provide at checkout as the password to protect your downloaded PDF. This is the only purpose for which your email is used in this way.
- Creative & Continuous Writing Assessment: when you submit your child's writing to us via email or WhatsApp, we receive and process that writing to provide your assessment. We do not collect the child's name, date of birth, school, or any other identifying information about the child unless you choose to include it.
- Email enquiries: if you contact us by email, we receive your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Automatic technical data: our hosting and security providers collect standard server log data including your IP address, browser type and pages visited.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To process and fulfil your order (including generating your password-protected PDF)
- To provide your writing assessment and deliver the scored feedback to you
- To issue your VAT invoice via Stripe
- To respond to your enquiries
- To comply with our legal obligations (including financial record-keeping)
We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Order records (name, email, purchase details): 7 years, as required by HMRC for financial records
- Writing submissions and assessments: deleted within 30 days of the assessment being delivered
- Email enquiries: deleted within 12 months of the enquiry being resolved
7. Children's Data
Our products and services are purchased by parents and guardians, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Writing submitted for assessment should not include any personally identifying information about the child (such as their full name or school). If you do include such information, please be aware it will be processed solely to deliver the assessment and then deleted.

- Request deletion of your data (where we are not legally required to retain it)
